Vacancy – Dispenser

37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

We are looking for a qualified dispenser to join our busy and friendly team.

The ideal candidate will be confident with technology, have first class IT skills and ideally dispensing experience however newly qualified dispensers are welcome to apply. It isn’t essential to have worked in general practice however this experience would be advantageous.

High levels of accuracy and attention to detail are essential as is the need for strict confidentiality and high levels of integrity.

You absolutely must be a people person and able to communicate effectively with staff and patients. We are looking for a team player, who is flexible in working to the needs of the business by prioritising workload and using initiative.

Why should you work at Langport Surgery?

People enjoy working here. We know that because that’s what they tell us, and it is very rare for staff to leave unless they are retiring. They tell us they feel well supported and able to contribute to the running of the practice and their opinions are valued.

We are well regarded in the community, our patients appreciate the service we provide. We receive a plentiful supply of feedback from patients to endorse this and we have an active Patient Participation Group.

We have coffee together. We all have a sense of humour and we share the same underpinning values to deliver a professional and safe service to our population of patients.

We are committed to developing and improving quality. We have a strong focus on training and development and we equip our team with the skills and knowledge to be successful.

Langport is a beautiful place with a good old fashioned community feel. There are some wonderful lunchtime walks along the river and through the town. Staff members often go for walks (or runs) together at lunchtime across the Somerset levels.

Langport Surgery is a large, stable and happy team of 50+ people. There are 5 GP Partners who have worked together for the last 10 years, associate and salaried GPs. We have highly skilled nurses, Clinical Practitioners and HCAs, administration/reception and dispensing teams all working together.

We embrace technology: E-Consult, text messaging platforms and we encourage patients to use Patient Online Access. We work with other local practices and are an active part of CLICK Primary Care Network with access to shared services such as visiting Paramedics and a Pharmacists.
